Quantimed is a quantification and forecasting tool developed by Management Sciences for Health (MSH) to help health programs estimate needs for medicines and other health commodities and turn those forecasts into actionable procurement guidance. It is designed for ministry of health teams, supply chain managers, implementing partners, and donors who require transparent, repeatable, and data-driven quantification processes.
Key capabilities:
- Supports multiple forecasting methods, including consumption, morbidity, and service-statistics approaches, with the ability to triangulate data sources.
- Handles regimen- and product-level forecasting for programs such as HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, family planning, and essential medicines.
- Accounts for program growth, guideline changes, losses and wastage, stock status, and incoming pipeline deliveries.
- Generates clear reports, charts, and summary tables to inform budgeting, procurement planning, and grant proposals.
- Enables scenario and sensitivity analyses to test assumptions and timelines.
- Exports forecasts for use with MSH’s PipeLine tool and other supply-planning systems.
By standardizing quantification and documenting assumptions, Quantimed helps reduce stock-outs and overstocks, align procurement with funding cycles, and improve accountability across public health supply chains.
Quantimed is developed by Management Sciences for Health. The most popular version of this product among our users is 2.0. The name of the program executable file is RunAccess.exe.
